In this post, I'll show you how you can subscribe to utility bills like Dstv, Gotv, Star time etc with your phone. There are two ways to subscribe to utility bills with your phone.
1. Short USSD codes
2. Mobile App
Using Short USSD codes

This option does not require internet connection
To subscribe your decoder, you can pay with a sim linked to a GTB account on any phone.
Dial *737*37*amount*Decoder Number # send.
Make sure the sim is the same one you used to open your GTB account.
You can view ussd codes for other Nigerian banks and select Utility Bills, then follow the prompt.

Using Mobile App

This method requires Internet connection.
First you have to go to Playstore and search for your bank mobile app and install it.
After its finished installing, launch the app and fill in the required fields.

Requirements

* You'll need the 15 digit numbers at the front of your ATM card
* The CCV digits at the back of your ATM card
* Your pin and sim card

After filling the required fields, you'all be sent an OTP to your sim (make sure its the sim that's linked to your bank account). Use the OTP to complete the activation and you are set to go.

*Now select Pay Bill or Services (depending on the bank)
* Select Cable/Tv Bills. From the next page, choose your Cable Tv and follow the instructions.
You'll see something like this
* Ref. Number
* Amount
* Phone Number

Note: Ref. Number is the number at the back of your decoder smart card
The Phone Number is the number you used to activate the decoder.
Finally, make sure your decoder is On before you subscribe.
